A large portion of the money raised will be used to help support local cancer patients with the costs associated with getting to treatment that is not offered in Medicine Hat.
An estimated 400 fans were in the stands at the Kinplex Arena for the contests, with the Hurricanes coming away with a close 6-5 win.
The Tigers players and coaching staff visited the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre for a tour on Oct. 24 to help them better understand the impact of their fundraising efforts.
