Alumni Alert!
It has been an exciting summer in the female hockey world and MHMHA would like to take this time to recognize some of our MHMHA and Wildcat alumni for their amazing accomplishments!
The summer started off with U18 and U16 Team Alberta invitations to the summer selection camps.
Congratulations to the following alumni for their selection to the U18 and U16 Team Alberta summer selection camp:
Taya Christie
Maddy Ferguson
Jayda Becker
Keyana Bert
Brianna Finke
Kiera Grant
Myla Motz (U16)
MHMHA and our Wildcats program are very proud of these athletes as they continue to represent our association with dedication, hard-work, and character. We wish Taya Christie and Keira Grant all the best as they carry on to Fall selection camp for U18 Team Alberta!
MHMHA would also like to congratulate Riley Gramlich for being invited to the fall camp for U18 Sask First. Although Riley gets her mail delivered to Saskatchewan, we have be blessed to have her develop her skills as a MHMHA/Wildcat Alumni. “
MHMHA/Wildcats would also like to wish the following alumni good luck and congratulations as they head down to the US to continue their hockey careers, playing collegiate hockey this fall.
Congratulations to Brooklynne Painter, Ryan Harvey-Zenk and Devyn Admundson. Brooklyne Painter played in our city boys league until transitioning to the Female stream at the Bantam Elite level to play for the Southern Express. She will be attending McKendree University in St. Louis for the upcoming ACHA D1 hockey season. Her former teammate, Ryan Harvey-Zenk, was an alumnus of our Wildcats program. Following different paths to the same end, these ladies joined at the Bantam Elite level to play for the Southern Express and later in the CSSHL. Ryan will be attending Indiana Tech University in Fort Wayne this fall and the ladies will continue to play together – this time as opponents at the ACHA D1 level.
We would also like to congratulate local goaltender and Southern Express Alum Devyn Admundson for recently committing to Post University NCAA D1 this week!
MHMHA/Wildcats are very proud of all these athletes, who have developed their skills through our MHMHA minor hockey program, our Wildcats (female stream) program or have represented Medicine Hat at the zone level with the Express Hockey Program. These athletes have demonstrated the characteristics and qualities, that make MHMHA proud. Well done and again congratulations to all of our alumni for their achievements and we wish you luck on your promising futures.

Lethbridge Minor Hockey is the franchise holder for elite female hockey in the south region of the province and we are confident that we are at a point where all operations and team management of the teams can be handled out of Lethbridge.
The program will continue to look at practice locations based on the geographical make up of the team, which historically we have been using Vauxhall as a practice location. We have a good partnership with Vauxhall and would like to continue using Vauxhall in the future.
League games will also be explored to be hosted outside of Lethbridge. This has been a challenge working with towns and cities (and other associations) in the past due to the date which the league requires ice times to create the league schedule.
As we get closer to the start of the 2023-24 season, we will have a clearer picture of the female elite operations and where they will practice and play out of.
