Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Association is now accepting applications for independent evaluators for the 2026-27 season.
As we prepare for another exciting season, the player evaluation process plays a critical role in ensuring that every athlete has a fair opportunity to earn their place. We are looking for knowledgeable, impartial individuals who are passionate about hockey and committed to evaluating players objectively based on their skill, effort, and potential.
Serving as an evaluator is an important responsibility and requires a significant time commitment. Evaluators are expected to:
- Attend mandatory evaluator training and/or planning meetings prior to evaluations.
- Be available throughout the assigned evaluation process, which may take place over several days or weeks depending on registration numbers.
- Provide fair, consistent, and unbiased assessments of all players.
To maintain the integrity of the evaluation process, applicants must not have a direct affiliation with the team or players they are evaluating.
Whether you have experience as a coach, former player, official, or hockey administrator, we encourage you to apply if you can contribute to a fair and positive evaluation process.
